Text · Stenberg Brothers Constructivist Film Poster
A commercial-cinema subvariant of constructivism: the film posters that Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg made in Moscow from 1924 until Georgii's death in 1933. Where parent constructivism served agitprop and book design, these sheets sold films, using stills and drawn figures pushed through distorted perspective, extreme cropping, exaggerated scale and tilted lettering, so the poster conveys the motion of the screen in bold colour.
Jost; Stenberg Brothers Constructivist Film Poster used Hand-drawn, tilted Cyrillic title lettering integrated with the image and Constructed block capitals in the Soviet avant-garde manner

- Victorian Letterpress & Wood Type Pairs well · Raid Victorian wood type and stock ornaments as the Dadaists did, but scatter them instead of centring them.
- Surrealist Graphics Pairs well · Use Dada's random collage as raw material and Surrealist dream logic to give the absurdity a narrative thread.
- Punk & DIY Zine Pairs well · Punk zines rediscovered Dada cut-and-paste; combine them for ransom-note type with a sharper political edge.
- HfG Ulm Systematic Design Contrasts · Dada's chance operations expose what Ulm's method suppresses; one deliberately random element can humanise an over-engineered system.
- Simplicissimus Satirical Style (Munich) Contrasts · George Grosz drew for Simplicissimus but in Berlin Dada turned satire into photomontage and typographic chaos; choose Simplicissimus for a drawn, legible joke, Dada for a cut-up assault.

- AIZ Political Photomontage (Heartfield) Pairs well · Borrow the political photomontage cut-and-assemble method, then add the Stenbergs' exaggerated scale for dynamism.
- ROSTA Windows Contrasts · Both are Soviet street posters, but ROSTA's flat stencilled satire is the opposite of the Stenbergs' montage and distorted-perspective cinema sell.
